Hutchinson Builders constructed the new award winning $3.9M Jaguar and Land Rover facility at 127 Denison Street, Rockhampton on a fixed price lump sum basis. Working closely with client representative, Helen Vass, Hutchies completed the project within budget and on time to ensure it was showroom-ready for a pre-arranged launch date.

The project consisted of the complete renovation of an existing two level structure, of approximately 675m² per level. An existing workshop was demolished, with a new service area of 625m² constructed in its place. Additionally, the project included the construction of a new 70m² car wash bay, a new undercover customer area of 132m², and a new service drop off area. The ground level of the renovated building consisted of new offices and showroom space. The new workshop, service drop off area and car wash bay were linked back into the existing showroom.

The main challenge with this project was the conversion of the building to a car sales showroom. Original timber flooring on the upper level was required to be rectified and restored, while linking to the lower level with a new concrete ramp.
