Having created the original award winning East Shores Precinct development in 2014, Hutchies is thrilled to be undertaking the next stage of the much loved waterfront precinct.

The $16M expansion provides a world-class leisure destination, increasing the existing amenities to cater to the growth of the region, attracting tourists and locals alike to access all that the burgeoning district has to offer. A new plaza for the cruise ship terminal is integral to creating a transport interface hub and multi-purpose function centre which integrates with the outdoor precinct.

The expansion includes a new waterfront café, open air cinema, and picnic shelters, as well as a boot camp area with novelty feature shower. Works incorporated a large civil component, as well as landscaping and a new car park, which required around 2,150m³ of concrete and 8,800m² of turf. We were pleased to also work with local businesses to make sure we maximise benefits to the Gladstone community during construction.
