Hutchies undertook the renovation and extension of six existing aged care buildings for Blue Care at its facility in Mareeba in Queensland. Works at the 74 bed facility included a complete renovation of all interiors with extensions to Block A, E and H. The scope of the project was inclusive of a new access road and associated car parking for the entire centre. The works were undertaken in a fully operational clinical environment and carefully sequenced to ensure minimum disruption. Residents were relocated into the newly refurbished facility prior to commencement of the next stage of the redevelopment. The project was handed over in four separate sequenced stages consisting of the existing staff rooms, kitchen, services area, physiotherapy and podiatry offices, meetings rooms, reception and lounge. 

Blue Care’s objective was to ensure that a robust, consistent, flexible and reliable technology infrastructure platform was maintained across all Blue Care sites and met the current Blue Care business operational needs, as well as catering for the provisioning of future ISU technology requirements. 

Hutchies completed the upgrade well within the designated timeframe and on budget.
