HotelEsplanade(TheEspy)

We were honoured to work on the redevelopment of the iconic Esplanade Hotel in St Kilda, Melbourne. Listed with the National Trust in 1990, the 'Espy' (as it is fondly known), is one of Australia's most loved live music venues. The hotel has undergone a complete transformation with the refurbishment opening up all five levels of the venue, revealing parts of the hotel never before seen by the public. The revitalised Espy has 12 bars in total, including a thoughtful restoration of the iconic Gershwin room that retains the original vibe of the popular performance area. There are two full sized commercial kitchens, a beer garden with operable glazed roof, and three performance stages located in the basement and ground levels.
