We’ve been building on the Gold Coast for more than a century, so we’re excited to have delivered the first Dorsett Hotel in Australia at The Star Gold Coast.
The Destination Gold Coast (DGC) consortium comprised of The Star Entertainment Group and its Hong Kong-based partners Chow Tai Fook and Far East Consortium. Luxury hotels and residences are right up our alley, and this 53-storey tower includes the 4.5 star luxury Dorsett Hotel as well as residential apartments known as The Star Residences. The inclusion of retail space makes it the first mixed used precinct on Broadbeach Island. The Star Gold Coast remained fully operational during construction of the new tower.
The hotel comprises 316 premium rooms, with the upper levels of the tower housing 423 one and two-bedroom residential apartments ranging in size from 54m2 to 109m2.
The tower’s open design takes advantage of the Gold Coast’s greatest natural resource — the weather. Suites are flooded with natural light through glass walls and private outdoor balconies. The hotel’s recreational podium deck is designed to highlight the beauty of the surrounding area, featuring views of ocean waters, lush green hinterlands and the lights of the city. The deck treats guests to a range of amenities including a pool, gym and other recreational facilities.

Construction activity will also support the local economy through consultants, suppliers and the local community throughout the project
