Hutchies recently won the Employer of the Year Award at the Queensland Training Awards held in Brisbane against competition from other employers as diverse as McDonalds, Eagers, Mt Isa Mines and Ikea.
We have now been shortlisted for the Australian Training Awards later in November where we are up against 2 other national finalists. Hutchies is hoping it can emulate the success we had in 2011 where we won the final and became Australia's Employer of the Year.
AlanWaldron,NationalTrainingManagerThis Award recognises the commitment Hutchies has to developing its most valued resource-its people. It’s the second time Hutchies has been successful. In 2011, we went on to win the national award as well, so we are hoping we can be as successful again.
In the meantime, the Workforce Development Team is continuing to develop the capability and capacity of Hutchies Teams across Australia and in addition, rolling out these services to our subcontractors and suppliers.
