These awards started as a bit of a gag in 1996. Originally it recognised the biggest estimating mishap of the year.
It was awarded annually up until 2008 and then took a 12 year break until we resurrected it in 2020 as a more serious award to recognise the solid efforts of our estimators. Today we announce the winners at our annual Estimators' Conference which is held around March each year.
